今回はBeth先生をご紹介します！当校の働きもので真摯に教えてくれる先生です。レッスンで意識していることや、仕事のやりがいを語ってくれました。

ー　出身は？

ラグナ州のサン・ペドロ市の出身です。

サン・ペドロはSampaguitaという花で有名な街です。

この花は、フィリピンを象徴する国花として有名です。多くの人は、この花をネックレスとして加工したり、販売したりしています。また、この花にちなんで名づけられたお祭りもあるほどです！

ー　趣味は？

たくさんあります！

家で韓国や日本のドラマ、YouTubeを見るのが好きです。音楽も聴きますし、私のペットと遊ぶのも大好きです。お出かけする時間があれば、お花や空、夕焼け、月の写真を撮りに行ったりもします。

ー　どうして日本の会社を選んだんですか？

日本の生徒に感動したからです。

皆さんとても真剣に勉強していますし、先生や目上の人に対してとても礼儀正しく丁寧に接してくれます。この日本の文化には本当に感動しました。

ー　英語の講師を目指したきっかけは何ですか？

私にとって、「教えること」はただの仕事ではありません。やりがいに満ちていますし、情熱をもちながら、また、楽しみながら取り組むことができるものです。

生徒に自分の知識を伝えると同時に、生徒からも学ぶことを大切にしていきたいです。

ー　英語を学ぶ上でのTipsを教えてください！

もし新しい言語を学びたいなら、文化を深く知ることが必要だと思います。

英語の学習は難しいです。しかし英語は世界中で使われている言語で、どこに行っても使えるものです。もし本当に英語を学びたいなら、英語という言語に興味を持ち、深く学んでいくことが重要です。そうすることによって、コミュニケーション上の基本的なルールも簡単に理解できるようになり、言語自体に対しても深い理解を得ることができます。

ー　将来の夢を教えてください！

自分の生徒が、将来、それぞれの舞台で英語を駆使して活躍してくれたらとてもうれしいです！

ー　最後に、英語学習者へのメッセージをお願いします！

自身の目標に向かって学び続けましょう！

そして、すべての瞬間を楽しみましょう。そうすることで最後は必ず良い結果に行きつくと信じています。

– Where are you from?

I’m from the City of San Pedro in Laguna, Philippines.

San Pedro is known for the flower called Sampaguita. It is one of the national symbols of the Philippines. Many people make necklaces out of them and sell them on the streets. There’s even a festival named after it!

– What’s your hobby?

I have many hobbies!

I like to watch Korean dramas, Japanese dramas, and YouTube videos at home.

I enjoy listening to music, and I also love to play with my pets.

Then if I have time to go outside or somewhere else, I make sure to take photos of nature such as flowers, skies, the sunset, or the moon.

– Why did you choose Japanese Company?

I really admire Japanese students.

They are very serious learners. Japanese students also have the reputation of being respectful to their teachers and superiors.

I am really amazed at this aspect of their culture.

– Why did you become a teacher?

For me, teaching isn’t just a job. It’s something rewarding and fulfilling.

I am passionate about it and I really enjoy it.

I hope I can impart my knowledge to my students and at the same time, I am also eager to learn from them.

– What are your tips to learn English?

I believe that if you want to learn a new language, you have to immerse yourself in the culture.

English may be challenging to learn, but it is a universal language, so you will never run out of opportunities to use it.

If you really want to learn English, you have to be interested in the language and determined in your studies.

This way, you can grasp the basic rules more easily and have a deeper understanding of the language.

– What’s your dream / life goal / vision for the future?

As a teacher, I envision my students becoming successful in their fields and becoming good conversationalists as they polish their English skills.

– Give a message to English learners!

Keep on learning and pursuing your goals! Be sure to enjoy every moment as you do so. Eventually, everything will fall right into place.
